Sean Roberts the Managing Director of Chillydog Refrigeration moved to Port Douglas 20 years ago and brought with him an extensive range of skills that covered many facets of the refrigeration and air conditioning trade.
Chillydog Refrigeration was born after recognising that there were very few local refrigeration companies within the shire and that many Cairns refrigeration companies were travelling to Port Douglas to service the local area.
From the outset the business has grown successfully year after year and over time a loyal and solid client base has been formed. Sean's partner Pip Tempest became involved in Chillydog Refrigeration due to growth and demand and with her extensive background in hospitality and administration, soon became a key asset to the business.
Pip and Sean recognised the need for a local catering equipment supplier that could service the Douglas shire and surrounds. This need was discovered when we found that refrigeration equipment was being sold into our North QLD environment that was never designed to work in our humid climate.
Top Dog Catering Equipment was then formed to be able to draw upon Chillydog's extensive knowledge and allow us to provide advice for the purchase of refrigeration equipment that would perform well in the Far North.
We also found that local business's were requiring other types of catering equipment and so our supply portfolio grew into what it is today. Top Dog has now competitively supplied all types of equipment to the local business community and is expanding quickly. This is partly due to the vast hospitality and local business knowledge resulting in satisfied clients.
Top Dog also realised that a finance option would be beneficial to aid in the start up of new business ventures requiring equipment with budgeting the start up costs, as well as for existing businesses during periods of growth. Top Dog and the local business community have formed a close relationship in all aspects of commercial catering equipment.
This alliance is aimed at providing the local business community with competitive pricing, and experienced hospitality knowledge and accurate advice when making their purchasing and budgeting decisions for the correct catering equipment, designed to operate effectively in our humid North Queensland environment.
